Poet and activist Sagar Gorkhe, who has been in prison since September 2020 in Elgar Parishad-Bhima Koregaon violence case, has alleged he and his co-accused are being threatened by a senior jailor, who is also instigated criminals accused of serious crimes against them.
When one creates a piece of art, sends it out into the world and opens it up to the prying eyes of an audience, is that art then, the property of said audience? Has the artist forfeit the rights over the meaning of the art piece and is it now at the mercy of said audience? Is interpretation superior to intent?
Any occupier targets art and artists because any expression on the part of the occupied is rebellion, therefore art is first and foremost a rebellion. That is why, when the Occupying state of Israel banned the Palestinian flag, they also banned artists from using the colours red, black and green from paintings, they banned artists from painting watermelons, and people from carrying watermelons.

न्यायालयाच्या निर्णयानंतरही खोट्या आरोपांखाली काढून घेतलेलं सरपंचपद पुन्हा बहाल न केल्यामुळे संभाजीनगरचे राजधर अहिरे हे तरुण माजी सरपंच जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांविरोधात उपोषणाला बसले आहेत. स्थानिक आमदार उदयसिंग राजपुत यांच्या सांगण्यावरुन त्यांच्याविरोधात खटला दाखल करुन जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांनी त्यांना सरपंच पदावरून हटवलं होतं, असा आरोप राजधर करतात.
