The BBC is reporting that Donald Trump has said, Canada's move to recognise a Palestinian state threatens a US-Canada trade deal. Trump responded Canada's announcement by writing: "Wow!... That will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them. Oh' Canada!!!" Read the full report here.
China’s Tokyo embassy sounds alarm after 2 citizens attacked in Japan, SCMP reports
The South China Morning Post reports, the Chinese embassy in Tokyo has issued a security alert after two Chinese nationals were wounded in an attack in the Japanese capital on Thursday. Four unidentified men armed with iron pipes attacked two Chinese men as they were walking in Tokyo’s Kanda district at around 9am, according to Japanese media reports. Read the full report here.
Al Jazeera live blog: Israel’s attacks on Gaza kill 34 as starvation deaths mount
Al Jazeera is reporting how Israel’s relentless bombardment of the besieged Gaza Strip continues, with at least 34 Palestinians killed since Thursday, including 15 aid seekers. Indian Express reports, Special court acquits all 7 Malegaon blast accused
The Indian Express reports that a special court in Mumbai acquitted all seven accused in the case, including former BJP MP Pragya Thakur and Lt Col Prasad Shrikant Purohit, Thursday, nearly 17 years after a powerful bomb blast in Maharashtra’s Malegaon killed six people and injured more than a hundred. The Hindu reports, Dharmasthala mass burial case: Partial skeletal remains found at sixth site
The Special Investigation Team found partial skeletal remains of a body in the sixth of the 13 sites identified by 50-year-old complainant in Dharmasthala, on July 31. The complainant had alleged illegal burial of bodies in Dharmasthala. Read the full report.
