Praful Patel questions Air India partner's ‘surprising silence’ on Ahmedabad crash, Indian Express
Former Civil Aviation Minister and senior NCP leader Praful Patel on Wednesday hit out at Singapore Airlines – a 25.1 percent stakeholder in Air India, Indian Express reports, over what he termed as “deafening” and “surprising silence” following the crash of Air India flight AI-171 last Thursday in Ahmedabad. In a post on X, Patel said that Singapore Airlines – a key commercial and maintenance partner of Air India – seems to be “in hiding”, an apparent reference to the lack of a public statement from the airline in the aftermath of the crash. Following Patel’s post, the report says, Singapore Airlines said that it has been in close contact with Air India and its owner, Tata Sons, and continues to offer its full support and necessary assistance to them. NDTV on SC intervention in Bihar teen forcefully married to 33-year-old man
NDTV reports that the Supreme Court on Wednesday issued a notice to the Bihar government on a petition filed by a 16-year-old girl, who is "facing threat" for refusing to continue her "coerced" marriage with a 33-year-old man. A bench of Justice Ujjal Bhuiyan and Justice Manmohan also directed the Bihar police to provide full security to the girl and her friend, who is facing an FIR for alleged kidnapping, after he helped her escape and go into hiding. Israel kills at least 70 Palestinians in Gaza’s deadliest day at aid sites: Al Jazeera
Israeli troops have killed at least 70 Palestinians and wounded hundreds as they sought aid in Gaza on Tuesday, Al Jazeera reports, firing at them with tank shells, machine guns and drones. Those casualties are among the 89 Palestinians killed in attacks across the besieged enclave since dawn. Bomb threat at Hyderabad Begumpet airport, Hindustan Times reports
Security forces launched a high-alert operation at Hyderabad's Begumpet Airport on Wednesday morning after authorities received a bomb threat via email, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement agencies, Hindustan Times reports. According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Begumpet Division, the threat was reported early in the day, leading to the deployment of a bomb disposal squad and intensive checks across the airport and its surrounding premises. US President Donald Trump is considering joining Israel's strikes targeting Iran's underground nuclear sites, the BBC's US partner CBS News reports. The two nations are now exchanging fire for a sixth day. BBC reports, the US president earlier called for Iran's "unconditional surrender" and says he knows where the country's leader is but won't kill him, "for now".
