Hindustan Times: 17-year-old Sarthak Sidhant, who probed CBSE's OSM system, appears before Parliament panel
Amid the row over CBSE's on-screen marking portal, Hindustan Times reports, 17-year-old student Sarthak Sidhant appeared before a parliamentary panel on Tuesday. As per reports, he was called to give a presentation before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth, and Sports. The committee reviewed the use of 'On-Screen Marking' (OSM) in Class 12 CBSE examinations, along with the problems and concerns flagged by students. IMD confirms monsoon onset on June 4, India Today reports

After a brief delay, the southwest monsoon is finally set to make its onset over Kerala around June 4, 2026, India Today reports according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The weather agency has forecast widespread rainfall activity across the southern states over the next week, with Kerala expected to bear the brunt of the monsoon's arrival. Isolated locations in the state are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall ranging from 7 cm to 20 cm during the next six to seven days, the report adds. Read the full report here.
At least 12 people killed, dozens wounded in Russian attacks on Ukraine: Al Jazeera
Ukrainian authorities say at least 12 people have been killed and dozens wounded in Russian missile and drone attacks across Ukraine, Al Jazeera reports, days after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Moscow was preparing for a major offensive. Russia launched 656 drones and 73 missiles at Ukraine overnight, Ukraine’s air force said on Tuesday. It said the main targets were the capital city of Kyiv, the central city of Dnipro, and the eastern cities of Poltava, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia, as per the report. Read the full report here.
Denmark's Mette Frederiksen to form government after months of negotiations, BBC reports

Months since Denmark's general election, BBC reports that acting prime minister Mette Frederiksen, the leader of the Social Democratic Party, will form a centre-left coalition minority government. Twelve parties won seats in March's inconclusive election. The Social Democrats won the most votes but saw their weakest performance since 1903, the report says. Speaking to reporters after meeting King Frederik X, Frederiksen said the deal was reached following long and fraught negotiations, adding that she would present the new cabinet on Wednesday.
